Have you heard about that new development on Boyers Road?
There are quite a few of them!
Here's an overview of what exists or is coming soon, numbered as per the map above...
- It's not clear yet whether the County would really approve this development plan, but a developer is proposing a rezoning to allow them to build an office building, 77 apartments and 93,600 SF of storage units on the corner of Port Republic Road and Boyers Road.
- Townhouses are under construction at Congers Creek with 26 in the first phase, a possible additional phase in the future, plus some townhouse style rental properties being built just north of the townhouses for sale.
- Construction recently wrapped up on 32 townhouses that back up to (more or less) Sentara RMH. These townhouses sold quickly and prices ended around $190K.
- Despite an original plan for 86 condos, it seems that 86 apartments will be built on five acres of a 10 acre parcel on the east side of Boyers Road.
- Construction keeps moving right along at Preston Lake, one of the largest residential developments (the largest?) in this area in the past 10+ years with plenty of townhouses, duplexes and single family homes being built and offered for sale.
- A large rental community is nearing (?) completion at the intersection of Boyers Road and Stone Spring Road, adjacent to Preston Lake. Preston Lake Apartments will feature one, two and three bedroom apartments, with rental rates seeming to start at $1295/month.
- Dirt is starting to move at the end of Boyers Road for the construction of a multi-story senior living facility.
Those are all of the major developments I'm aware of along Boyers Road - but who knows what else is to come along this increasingly busy corridor!
