download a larger version of this image A developer is proposing that Rockingham County rezone a 5.69 acre parcel at the corner of Port Republic Road and Boyers Road for... an 8000 SF office building (78) one and two bedroom apartments a three-story, 91,000 SF, building of storage units The developer has now published renderings of the proposed development which can be found on their website. Some additional details are now available from the proposed development's website... APARTMENTS: "Comprised of one-bedroom and two-bedroom, two-bath apartments, the residential living will be ideal for young professionals looking for upscale living yet not ready to purchase a home. The 78 residential units will feature quality fixtures and finishes both inside and out. The attractive facades will incorporate brick, stone, HardiePlank and stucco, with vinyl and metal sidings strictly prohibited." OFFICES: "We anticipate approximately four professional offices, which could include medical services, financial planning, real estate services or some other professional service. [...] Like the residential living, the office building will be designed to complement the surrounding community and have facades that incorporate brick, stone, HardiePlank and stucco." STORAGE: "Boyers Crossing will include a lifestyle climate-controlled, all interior access storage facility. Smart Cube, a national company with a local franchise, specializes in attractive storage facilities that are designed to blend in with urban and suburban environments. The average storage unit size is 10 feet by 10 feet, and all units are accessed from the interior of the building only."
