This graph was in my full market report yesterday but it sort of deserves a bit of special attention by itself.
Over the past two years, the median sales price of detached homes selling in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County has increased by $50,000.
Before that, it took five years to increase by $50,000.
As such, over the past seven years the median sales price has increased by $100,000.
So... if you bought a median priced detached home seven years ago ($190K in 2014) it very well might be worth $100,000 more today!
These are startling changes in property values in our area over the past seven years, especially if you haven't been reading my monthly report each month for the past 84 months! ;-)
