Are Most New Homes Attached Homes These Days? |

With most proposed new housing developments including apartments and townhouses these days -- and far fewer including detached homes -- some wonder whether we will continue to see fewer and fewer new detached homes built in future years. Above you'll see how things shook out in 2023 and 2024. Last year, 59% of new homes that were sold via the HRAR MLS were detached homes... more than half of the total. This year, only 48% of new homes that sold via the HRAR MLS were detached homes. I think there is a good chance that this trend -- a shift away from detached homes, towards attached homes -- will continue in new construction in this area over the next few years. Recent Articles:
